mybutbeautiful: The Castro Twins with director Alberto Ferreras on an HBO shoot in Texas. My friend Alberto and I were doing a project for HBO roughly two years ago in Texas. Two of our subjects were the genial twin combo of Julian and Joaquin Castro. Julian is the Mayor of San Antonio and Joaquin is a state assembly person in Texas. Joaquin is set to run for the US Congress in the coming election in November. They were both very charming, engaging and told a great story of perseverance.
