Harry T. Moore and his wife Harriette. Married 25 years. They were both educators and activists. Mr. Moore started the Brevard County, Florida branch of the NAACP in 1934. Sadly, he and his wife were killed on Christmas day in 1951 when their house was bombed. Mr. Moore was the first official to lose his life to the cause and they were the only couple to lose their lives to the NAACP movement. Read more here: http://www.pbs.org/harrymoore/harry/mbio.html
