20 years ago today, A Tribe Called Quest released The Low End Theory. Ron Carter is featured on the song ‘Verses From The Abstract’.

I don’t want to sound like an old curmudgeon, but what are the odds of a current mainstream rapper enlisting the talents of someone like Ron Carter to play on their album? Not very likely.
